The differences are simply a matter of the amount or concentration of oils in the fragrance. These oils are called ';juice.'; The highest concentration of ';juice'; is in perfume (or parfum). Next would be Eau de Parfum, then Eau de Toilette, and finally Eau de Cologne. Actually, Eau de Toilette and Eau de Cologne are generally interchangeable, particularly in Men's fragrances. After Shave has the least amount of oils. The higher the concentration of ';juice'; the longer your fragrance will last, and the less you need to apply. PERFUME (PARFUM) This consists of a 15-30% concentration of perfume essence and is the strongest fragrance available. This means that not only do you need to use less, but also that the fragrance lasts longer, typically for up to 6 hours, depending on skin type.

EAU DE PARFUM (EDP) This is lighter than Perfume, with an 8-15% concentration, and so is less expensive but still has long lasting characteristics, from 3 to 5 hours.

EAU DE TOILETTE (EDT) This is a lighter more delicate fragrance, with a 4-8% concentration of the essence, and is therefore most suited to everyday use. It is normally less expensive than Eau de Parfum, and lasts for 2 to 4 hours. What is difference between men's %26amp; women's perfume, difference between ';eau de cologne'; %26amp; ';eau de toilette'; ?
Eau de parfum or Eau de toilette are French words, So, if you translate, it reads as, Perfume water and Toilet water. Majority of the perfume companies are from France.

Usually parfum, EDP, is more condensed strong in fragrance longer lasting, expensive than EDT and meant for women, whereas EDT is diluted and usually made for men and women (mostly men).

Women fragrances are sweet in smell, flowerish and light. Men fragrances are strong in smell. There is third kind Uni-Sex applicable to both genders.

What I see is it is a commercial funda, naming men and women fragrances. My favourite fragrance is CHANEL ALLURE EDT.

Enjoy!
The difference between 'Eau de Parfum' and 'Eau de toilette' is that eau de parfum is alot more concentrated, whereas eau de toilette is a little bit more diluted. eau de parfum is meant for night time, and eau de toilette is meant for day.
skin will affect.
eau de cologne is deodorant used on body

eau de toilette is toilet deodorizer used to give a nice smell in the rest rooms
