Is there a difference between perfume and eau de toilette?

Is one stronger? Or is it the same thing? Is there a difference between perfume and eau de toilette?
Perfume is stronger (thus usually more expensive), eau de toilette is less concentrated: *';There are several categories of fragrances today: perfume is at the top, followed by eau de parfum, eau de toilette, and eau de cologne, each containing a lesser degree of aromatic oils, respectively. The lower the concentration of aromatic compounds, the shorter the scent life.';Is there a difference between perfume and eau de toilette?
Hmm, no eau de toilette is lighter and eau de parfum is stronger and usually lasts the whole day. Parfum is the most concentrated of all three, but more rarely seen and not sold in most department stores. Body spray is more like a cologne, some last and most don't at all. Most companies choose to make an eau de parfum. The two versions are different in scent and lasting power. Here is the order they go in from weakest to strongest.

1.body spray or cologne

2.eau de toilette

3. eau de parfum

4. parfum
eau de toilette is alot stronger, other is just like a body spray
Perfume is alot stronger...specifically in the top end companies such as Chanel. In these sort of companies the eau de toilette is often a slightly different smell than the ';Parfum'; (this is the french spelling). Often the Eau de Toilette is used as a day time fragrance while the Parfum is used as a night time fragrance. In almost all cases the Parfum is more expensive than the Eau de Toilette.
