$50 retail price going for $5...I wonder if this is shady or just a great way to save big bucks. If you have any experience using both fragrances or are just knowledgeable on the differences, I'd appreciate the enlightenment! Thanks :):)

is the cheapest I've found, and tester bottles just mean it comes with no cap but still a full bottle. I own the original amarige. It only comes in a toilette, but that version is still very strong. Stronger than most perfumes. The second amarige called d'amour smells like pleasures, but the new one amarige mariage is good too. I would never buy perfume from ebay. Many bad stories about that! You never know what you'll get and it could be a supposedly decanted bottle.


That's the mini bottle they show, I've seen it at walmart. You know those tiny perfume displays by the perfume section? Try there, I'm sure most walmarts have that.

I'm not an expert, but from what I recall, the different names given to fragrance products, that is: cologne eau de toilette, perfume et al. refers to the ratio of fragrance to alcohol. Perfume (or parfum en Francaise) is the purest form of fragrance with the least alcohol. It last the longest and the scent is the most intense and it's the most expensive. Cologne and eau de cologne is the next in intensity, with more alcohol. To some expert noses, it's the best expression of a scent, not too overpowering, last through the day, and usually a good price. Eau de toilette is less expensive, has a higher alcohol content, and is the lightest form of the scent. It's often the least expensive and is good for those on a budget.





Some fragrances will never have an inexpensive version due to the costliness of some of the essential fragrance oils. Some can cost hundreds of dollars per ounce! There a few that are thousands per ounce from rare rainforest orchids. There are places that sell replica scents, these are very similar to the originals in the top and middle notes, and can be an alternative for those with limited funds. They analyze the chemical profile of the essential oils and attempt to chemically duplicate them, they do a good job with some, not so good with others. If you want the real thing, then some budget conscious fragrance fans buy less expensive shower gels, powders, and body cremes. You get the same scent and for far less money. That's what I did for years when I had champagne tastes and wine spritzer budget!
